You Win Some, You Lose Some

Each quality in our minds

fear, low intelligence,

dishonesty, aggression, selfishness

The purpose of the factions.

Every faction loses something

when it gains a virtue:

Dauntless- brave but cruel

Erudite- intelligent but vain

Amity- peaceful but passive

Candor- honest but inconsiderate

Abnegation- selfless but stifling

Take away someone’s fear

and you take away their compassion.

If you think about it,

I’m pretty sure you know exactly what I mean.
