            My research paper was about the negative impacts of incorporating technology (specifically Ipads) into the education system. I approached this paper as if it were for Dr. Hersh’s science research class (except those were around thirty pages long). My argument was that technology in the classroom setting was more detrimental than beneficial because of how distracting it is to students, expensive it is to update/ fix, and how time consuming it is to implement. This year our school started giving Ipads to ALL 10th and 9th graders. You can already see the negative effects: teachers struggling to use it, tracking down students who still do not have an Ipad, and the lack of creativity from machine learning. Eventually it will all work out – this is the drive to the educational future. After three years of hard-core scientific research, I found this paper enjoyable to do.
